To use natural toners or to skip them? Personally I go through phases of religiously toning morning and night, or just toning in the morning rather than cleansing (a thorough double cleanse in the evening and I believe you don’t have to repeat in the morning, provided you keep your hair off your face and your bed linen clean!), to having a spritz toner in my handbag and applying throughout the day (especially in the summer). How about you? What are your toning habits?
Today, I’m sharing with you a few organic and natural toners in my beauty collection at the moment.
MUN No.11 Anarose Rejuvenating Rose Natural Toner
I am loving this toner, and judging by how quickly its gone down and my finding it in places that I didn’t leave it, so does Mr BB. I do love Rosewater as a toner on its own, but this concoction brings other ingredients into the equation –
Goji Berries – contain all essential amino acids and omega 6, and contain trace minerals, antioxidants and vitamins
Aloe Vera Leaf Juice – soothing and hydrating
Prickly Pear Stem Extract – contains all the antioxidants and vitamins that make argan oil so great, only in larger amounts! Prickly Pear helps to heal, sooth and has powerful anti-inflammatory properties
Hyaluronic Acid – helps keep the skin moisturised and hydrated, thanks to its superior water-binding properties
Salix Alba, or Willow Bark – anti-inflammatory and soothing ingredient
Daisy and Jasmine floral extracts – soften, refresh, rejuvenate and promote radiance in the skin
The fragrance is a delicate floral with rosewater centre. There is an optional spray attachment with the bottle (which I love) but you can also use with cotton wool.

Helixium by Skinature eau Micellaire
Another great option from my selection of natural toners. I can’t quite remember where I picked this up, either at Biofach or Beyond Beauty in Paris. It’s a range that features snail extract. Find out more about snail extract here.
Along with Helix Aspersa, or snail slime, the toner contains Elderflower water, which helps with skin regeneration, and Aloe Vera, for regenerative, hydrating and soothing properties. This is applied with cotton wool, and as a micellair toner you can use to take off your makeup and the remains of the day, for those times you can’t be bothered to cleanse at the end of the day!
The fragrance is light and clean, and it really does take off all impurities and makeup easily!
Last but by no means least, Melvita Eau Extraordinaire Fleur d’Oranger
Out of all of the natural toners, this one leave me feeling as fresh as an orange! This spritz utilises the flowers of the Bitter Orange, or Seville Orange, plant. It has a gorgeous scent, which reminds me of some kind of orange cointreau cake – absolutely delicious! It has softening and soothing properties, and 7 out of 10 women said their skin was softer after 4 weeks of use. Now, I’m not sure if my skin was any softer with use, but boy did I love that fresh scent first thing in the morning – seriously revitalising! Melvita Eau Extraordinaire Fleur d’Oranger is available from Feel Unique 100ml for £17 – over three times the size of my sample, from a goody bag for the Natural Beauty Yearbook Awards.
