It’s winter time and although it’s been relatively mild thus far my hands are starting to feel a bit dried out! It’s this time of year I have a hand cream by my bed, in each of my regular handbags, on my dressing table, down the side of the sofa, in the car and on my desk. There’s pretty much always a hand cream in place to help relieve dry skin! One product I’ve really been loving of late is
Bodhi & Birch Lime Blossom Hand Protecting Serum.
Bodhi & Birch’s serum has a feather-light texture. It’s an oil-based product, but not oily on the skin for it is so easily absorbed! When you apply the serum to your hands, it feels like you’re slipping your mitts into silk gloves. The formula contains antibacterial action thanks to the lime and green mandarin content. These ingredients also give Bodhi & Birch Lime Blossom Hand Protecting Serum its bright citrus fragrance, slightly tangy and sharp, reminding me of pear drops or bonbons! Designed to nourish hands and help reduce signs of skin ageing and blemishes on your hands (i.e. pigmentation and age spots!) the formula contains anti-ageing olive squalane and rosehip seed oil.
It’s recommended to use on slightly damp skin after washing your hands. A little goes a long way, all you need is a single pump (if that) to cover your hands, forearms and even have some left to give an impromptu cuticle massage to help strengthen nails and give them a healthy sheen.

Next up, FOM London Age Defying Hand Serum. There’s no doubt that as we age our hands dry out (as does all our skin!). FOM London helps prevent dry hands thanks to its hyaluronic acid content, combined with naturally exfoliating and vitamin A-rich (very important in anti-ageing) papaya, liquorice extract to reduce the appearance of age spots and hyperpigmentation, regenerative eyebright, elasticity promoting squalene and vitamin C and EFA-rich marula extract.
The formula is a very light cream, which is rapidly absorbed into the skin. It’s highly concentrated, and my bottle lasted me a good 6 months, using pretty much daily! It’s handbag-sized, and packaged in glass (which always wins brownie points with me!) The scent is a delicate rose, all in all a lovely product. To use, this product is in complete contrast to Bodhi & Birch Lime Blossom Hand Protecting Serum, cream vs serum, rose vs citrus fragrance, but both are non-greasy, easily absorbed and effective.
Last but by no means least, Pinks Boutique Nail Cuticle Oil. Regular application of cuticle oil (or even just pure coconut oil or argan oil) can really make a difference to your nail health – try it and I promise you you will see the difference! Pinks Boutique Cuticle Oil is made with 100% natural and 99.5% organic ingredients. The formula contains rosa mosqueta, and vitamin E to soften and nourish cuticles and nails along with fennel and frankincense to aid with healing and regeneration.
What are your must-have natural and organic hand care products this winter? We’d love to know!
