Another event I attended whilst trying to reclaim my blog from the grasp of the hackers! I was delighted to see lots of natural and organic beauty brands, as well as some health ones too 🙂

My first stop off was at the Plenish bar, where I sampled a few of their juices. I’ve looked at their juice cleanses before, but they are slightly on the pricey side for me to buy in to. I understand why they are expensive, as they are made in small batches, use the highest quality ingredients and a wide range of ingredients, but I’d rather make my own juices!
My favourite Plenish on that Saturday morning was Savour; a blend of cashew nuts, dates, cacao, cinnamon, Himalayan salt, vanilla and maca. Tasted like a nutty shake, a real tasty, healthy treat!

Next I visited Phyto. Phyto is one of those brands I’m not entirely sure how to pronounce. I’ve heard fight-o (the one that I have opted for) and fee-toe, and as a results I struggle to remember the name of this brand. That said it has cropped up in conversation several times with industry types since the event, and I’ve heard nothing but positive testimonials for their products from people whose opinion I trust!
Unfortunately, Phyto contains ingredients, such as parabens and MI, which means I won’t be trying any time soon, which is a real shame as they use some great ingredients from nature too!
Whilst learning more about Phyto, my scalp was surveyed with a microscope camera. The results were positive – if you look closely at the screenshot below, you can see multiple hairs coming out of the same follicle. This is a sign of healthy hair! We also checked for buildup around the roots from using too much product or not rinsing shampoo and conditioner out, again there wasn’t anything to worry about!

Next up, Burt’s Bees, who were launching their lip crayons. The MUA on hand really took her time to give me a lip look that I loved (so much I forgot to take a photo!) layering up the crayon with a gloss and balm. I love the lip glosses but they do dry my lips out so I’ve ended up wearing them over lipsticks. There are some ingredients in lip products that can dry  your lips out, and I know I certainly experience this with some natural and organic products – I’m just trying to figure out which ingredient it is!

After getting my lips done, I hopped over to the Jurlique stand, where I was indulged with an arm and hand massage, utilising the Jasmine Hand & Body Cream. The cream contains some really nourishing ingredients- honey, chamomile, marshmallow root, calendula and carrot extract, the fragrance was beautiful and my skin was left soft smooth and delicious smelling!

Last but by no means least, Antipodes. I was heading to the Afternoon Tea at Soho Hotel with founder on Elizabeth on the same day, but that didn’t stop me from experiencing a mini-facial with the therapist.
