Nourish Organic Skincare – Argan Renew Range
Earlier in the year, when we went to Boa Vista, Cape Verde, I started using two Nourish Skincare products – Argan Skin Rescue and Argan Skin Renew with Frankincense and Rose of Jericho. I’ve heard it said that argan oil is just a passing fad, a trend, but personally, I don’t see it that way. I love argan oil for my hair, face and body! I got through the Argan Skin Rescue rather quickly, but I am only just scraping out the ends of the Argan Skin Renew face cream. I love both of these products, just fabulous.
Argan Skin Rescue is a serum that is absorbed by the skin super quickly but you can feel its presence immediately. Skin feels less tight, softer and smoother all in one go! The formula contains argan kernel oil along with Abyssinian kale seed oil, ginger root extract orange peel oil, neroli flower oil, providing an antioxidant-rich serum to protect skin against environmental factors, restore the skin’s hydro-lipid layer and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Designed to help enhance collagen production to prolong the signs of ageing and naturally restore skin. My thirsty skin after being out in the sun all day lapped this serum up. My one wish would be that it came in a larger size, I seemed to run out of it all too quickly!
On the other hand, Nourish Argan Skin Renew has lasted me for months, over 6 months in all. I love this cream, easily absorbed, rich but light, just a pea-sized amount required for face and neck. The cream has been clinically tested and is shown to reduce water loss, immediately replenish moisture by 80% and increase skin hydration by 25% for 24 hours. Pretty impressive if you ask me!
As well as these superior hydrating and moisturising properties, the product contains a blend of lipids to help repair the skin barrier, Rose of Jericho extract which repairs and hydrates based on skin type and environment. With use, cellular density is improved (which means plumper skin ladies!) and free radical damage is reduced. You just have to read the ingredients to know that this cream is a heavyweight – jojoba seed oil, sunflower seed oil, argan kernel oil, probiotics, Abysinnian kale seed oil, borage seed oil, wild rose seed oil, sodium hyaluronate, aloe vera, vitamin E, frankincense and myrrh, and ginger root extract. I will be sad to see this cream gone, but I need to get on with reviewing some other products!
I met the CEO of Nourish, David, at Whole Foods Piccadilly earlier in the year, at the Get the Gloss event. He very kindly gave me a couple of samples to try. I was going to save them for #TryMeBeautiful but I have so many samples to get through I felt I ought to write about them now.
First up, Argan & Kale Anti-Ageing Hand Cream. There was enough for a couple of applications of the cream, and I must say I am impressed. It feels thick and rich going on, yet it’s easily absorbed. As the name suggests, it’s a blend of argan oil and kale oil with frankincense, neroli and myrrh oils plus ginger root to help lighten age spots and calm inflammation, plus healing bisabolol, the primary ingredient of chamomile.
Finally, Revital-eyes, a product I would like to get to know a little better. Rich in vitamins (particularly B vitamins), peptides, amino acids and antioxidants, the cream is a blend of kale extract, maqui berry and pomegranate enzymes to reduce puffiness and dark circles, whilst addressing fine lines and wrinkles. This cream felt instantly cooling when applied, and only a small amount required to cover all the delicate eye area. I like how it’s feeling on my skin thus far but will have to do a longer trial to comment on the efficacy of the product.
Have you tried any Nourish products? What would be your favourite from this the organic skincare range?
