“This is a gorgeous multi-tasking oil. It’s a dry oil, which means that it almost goes on dry- it’s that easily absorbed by the skin. On my hair, I use it to hold any flyaways in place, to smooth the ends of my hair and also as a hair perfume. The fragrance is simply divine, a floral jasmine sweetened with vanilla and complimented by fresh notes of fig, bergamot and citrus fruits, which lasts a long time on the skin and hair. On arms and legs, it leaves not only the gorgeous fragrance behind but also a shimmery sheen.
The oils contained in this product are a rare blend; whilst we’re all familiar with Moroccan argan oil, there are some lesser known oils – kendi oil from Indonesia, Inca Inchi oil and pracaxi oil from Amazonia, and buriti oil from Brazil. I’ve got my eyes on the eau de toilette and the sparkling dry oil as my next must-try from the range!”

“I absolutely love this product. The first thing you notice about (most) beauty and skincare products is the fragrance, and this oil reminded me of a product my mother always used on our holidays in the south of France after we’d been in the sun. I’m guessing that’s the fig and bergamot, which are typically found in southern Europe. Using this product brought back good memories and I was very keen to try it.
Often people shy away from oils because they think it will be sticky. However, this Melvita oil is a dry oil – which I admit, sounds a bit contradictory – and it does absorb quite quickly. You also don’t need much and it’s very easy to spread out. Also, I noticed that the scratches and shaving wounds on my legs healed much quicker! Which is a nice bonus for someone who’s always hurting herself.”

“Hmm… I’m not really sure about this product. I’m obsessed with the individual notes but when placed all together, I had found that the smell was way too sickly sweet, which actually gave me a headache throughout the day. I only applied this to the ends of my hair and thought it had absorbed quickly but I was left with greasy ends, which was strange as I only used a small amount.”
