Organic September: Green People Lemongrass & Ginger Body Lotion
Green People Lemongrass & Ginger Body Lotion Organic Credentials
Green People were one of the first companies to have beauty products certified organic by the Soil Association, just after their cosmetic standard launched in 2002. In 2003, Green People also began to work with the Organic Food Federation, with their Non-Food Certification Co. standard. In 2009 they achieved Ecocert standard, and this makes Green People the only cosmetics company to be independently certified by three different certification bodies.
Green People have 140 products, with around 90% certified organic by one or more of the aforementioned certification bodies.
Green People Lemongrass & Ginger Body Lotion is a 100% certified product, and 91.6% of total ingredients are organic.
Rebecca’s Review
“I’ve been using this limited edition body lotion in conjunction with the Lemongrass & Ginger Body Wash which came in a gift set Green People released last year. I like it because it has the richness of a cream with the lightness of a lotion. It has a shea butter base, and other nourishing ingredients like sunflower seed oil, olive oil and jojoba oil.
I usually use straight out of the bath or shower, and the product is easily absorbed by the skin and leaves no tackiness. The fragrance is warming, a lovely start for colder mornings, or on those days when you need a little pick me up to get out the door.”
Eline’s review
“This product smells great and it really invites you to use it all over your body. The lemongrass makes is very fresh and the ginger nicely balances out the scent so it’s not as if you’ve spilt some fruity drink all over your body.
Another great thing about this product is that you can use it both as a body lotion and a hand cream. Most body lotions are too sticky and you have to wash your hands after using them, but if you have some excess lotion on your hands it will absorb just as easily as it will on the rest of your skin.”
Katria’s Review
“Firstly, I really adore the packaging. The scent is quite strong but very fresh, and not too overpowering. I’m not really a fan of lemon scented products because they usually remind me of bathroom cleaner, but this particular fragrance is bearable! Compared to Rebecca, after rubbing the cream onto my skin I found the consistency to be quite sticky and tacky. I have extremely sensitive skin and after applying it, my skin began to get very itchy. The lotion was moisturising but due to the irritation, it gave me I definitely wouldn’t use it again. Such a shame because it looks so cute.”
