We were so thoroughly spoilt for choice this September with all the products we reviewed for Organic September. When it came to selecting my favourite products for the month it was a difficult task! I would have featured Terreverdi FranChouliPom Serum and Lucy Annabella Organics Bath Milk and Body Oils had Katria not already featured them in her beauty favourites! So, in order to give some other brands a bit more airtime I’m just giving them a mention in the forward, and here are my top 5 picks from September.

September Beauty Favourite #1 Green People Quinoa & Artichoke Shampoo & Conditioner

There were several points I loved about this hair care. The fragrance of ginger and lemongrass is really unusual for hair products, but ever so refreshing! They left my hair manageable (my long locks can sometimes be tangle-some!) but also super soft and shiny, and smoother than usual.

September Beauty Favourite #2 Herbfarmacy Mallow Beauty Balm

Regular readers will know I love a good beauty balm, and this is a great one! The rose geranium scent is beautiful, and accented with grapefruit and ylang ylang notes, and as with any balm it’s such a versatile product. It’s a great overnight face moisturiser, as well as for hands and feet overnight – apply then pop on your spa socks and gloves. If you have dry bits, such as elbows and knees, whack it on them. You can even use the product as a cuticle nourisher and before getting on a plane to keep skin hydrated.

September Beauty Favourite #3 Antipodes Heavenly Body Oil

Now I know I’ve written heaps about Antipodes skincare over the years, but I only recently discovered this body oil! I’m also a fan of Antipodes Hand & Body Creams too (particularly Jubilation) but this oil is rather special. It’s got a nuttiness from the avocado and macadamia oils, an earthiness from the rosehip oil and the fragrant essential oils of jasmine, lavender and ylang ylang are really superb. Best utilised straight out the bath or shower on slightly damp skin for ultimate absorption. I also tried adding to my bath with good results – a beautiful scent in the air and bath water that feels silky on the skin. Highly recommended!

September Beauty Favourite #4 Spiezia Floral Toner

I’ve really gotten back into toners of late. I go through these cycles of using/not using fairly regularly. I love the fresh floral scent of lavender and sage, with the calming benefits of chamomile. I’ve taken to using it in my at home facial, using on two cotton pads over the eyes, as well as part of my daily skin routine post-cleanse and pre-serum.

September Beauty Favourite #5 Pacifica Firebird Lipstick
I LOVE this lipstick in a big big way! The red is so easy to wear, it’s not too strong but not too shy. Just right, and a great red to wear in the day! For a bit of oomph in the evenings, layer up with an intense lip gloss over the top. Try Lavera’s Magic Red.
