Botanicals Mineral Bath Soak with Himalayan Rose Organic Credentials

All Botanicals products are certified by the Soil Association. The standard set by the Soil Association is that at least 70% of a beauty product’s non-water ingredients must be organically grown and harvested. As well as this the ingredients must be sustainable, not use pesticides (of course), any extracts extracted without chemical solvents, all non-organic ingredients must have a non-GM certificate and pass strict toxicity and biodegradability criteria, must not contain any nanoparticles or irritating or potentially toxic chemicals, and manufacturers must pass an annual inspection and keep detailed production records.
Like water, salt cannot be certified organic, as they are not products of agriculture, they are naturally occurring resources and thereby we have no control over elements contained inside.

Rebecca’s Review

I’ve been regularly enjoying a Sunday bath of late, it’s just a great way to wind down and ensure a calm start to the week that ensues. I religiously utilise salts in my bath, and I usually combine essential oils or Lucy Annabella Bath Milks in the blend. This product contains both salts and essential oils.
The fragrance of this product is divine; rose, geranium, lavender, palmarosa and ylang-ylang – basically all my favourite florals! The palmarosa brings a fruity sweetness to the blend. Palmarosa and ylang-ylang on their own can be quite strong scents, but this blend is beautifully balanced.
Using mineral salts in your bath help to re-mineralise your body transdermally (through the skin). They also help soften the skin and can soothe tired, aching muscles post sporting activity. For the therapeutic benefits of mineral salts in my bath, I’ve been adding extra minerals to my bath. You can buy in bulk in Amazon for these purposes.

Eline’s Review

I almost never take a bath because I just don’t feel very comfortable lying in the tub for more than five minutes. The last time I took a bath was six months ago when I had the flu and my mum basically forced me in, because it would help with my sore muscles. Come to think of it, the only times I ever take a bath is when I’m seriously ill and can’t do anything else. So I don’t really associate bathing with relaxation and enjoyment. To unwind after a busy day I’d much rather crash on the sofa and watch TV, which is something I can’t do while taking a bath.
That said, for the purpose of Organic September I had to find a way to try out the Botanicals Mineral Bath Soak and for me, the best way to do that was by taking a foot bath with these mineral salts. Lately, my weekends have been very busy and my feet can certainly testify to that. So after another long day of walking around London, I set up my foot bath in front of my TV. And I can tell you, soaking your feet whilst sitting comfortably on your sofa and watching Poldark on a Sunday evening is definitely something I would highly recommend!
The bath soak smells simply divine and the essential oils are perfect to revive tired and aching muscles.

Katria’s Review

When taking a bath I usually put a few drops of lavender essential oil into it, as this really helps me relax and unwind. I did the same when I took a bath but also included a scoop of the Botanicals Mineral Bath Soak, and my tub smelt delicious. I’m not usually a fan of anything rose scented. I prefer cosy, nutty, earthy and spicy smells when I buy skincare and beauty products, but the combination of this bath soak with extra lavender oil could’ve made me fall straight to sleep!
